Server move

On Monday, September 17th, HF will close down for a while as we move to a new server. We are doing this for a few reasons, but once we come back up (hopefully less than a day) the site will be faster and more stable and problems with email notifications will be over, we hope. So that's a heads up!

David Yates to return for 'Half-Blood Prince'

David Yates, the director of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, will return to direct the next installment of the film series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. "I've made a kind of tonal shift with the fifth film, which I want to continue and develop into the sixth film," Yates said. "And I can see the fifth story evolving into the sixth story in a really interesting way. So I'm on a journey with this material and this world, and I'm keen to complete it." U.S. version of HPDH to be 784 pages

Scholastic has sent out a press release revealing that the U.S. version of 'Deathly Hallows' will be 784 pages long and that it will be printed on recycled paper. Scholastic Inc., the global children's publishing and media company, announced today that all 12 million copies of the U.S. edition of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
will be printed on paper that contains a minimum of 30% post-consumer waste (pcw) fiber. Moreover, 65% of the 16,700 tons of paper used in the U.S.
first printing will be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the global standard-setter for responsible forest management. This historic
commitment is the largest purchase of FSC certified paper to be used in the printing of a single book title.

This is an essay I wrote for English class, but I thought I'd share it here too. The criteria was to write a persuasive essay, under 3 pages in 5 paragraph form. Although I took a negative standpoint, I think I had valid reasoning for my arguments (even if I was limited of length). I meant to make the corrections my teacher suggestion, but I keep forgetting my marked paper at school.
